Competition rules for Internal Competitions
1. The maximum number of entries is three in each category. i.e. 3 prints and/or 3 slides.
2. Previous internal competition entries are NOT eligible for entry. (This
includes prints from slides or vice versa).
3. Slides should be spotted in the bottom left hand corner (when viewed by
eye), titled and named.
4. The minimum size for prints is 9.5 inches on the longest edge. Prints should
be mounted, named and titled. Maximum mount size is 20.25 x 16.25 inches in
accordance with the L&CPU rules. (Note the L&CPU rules also state
that the minimum mount size is 15 inches on the longest edge but this is not
applied in club competitions.) The prints can be colour or monochrome unless
otherwise specified, digital prints are accepted.
5. Photographs are usually required in advance of the competition night for
judging. Advance notice of this will be given and the date MUST be respected.
Late entries will be disallowed.
6. Points that are awarded will be accumulated towards the "Photographer
of the Year" award. Points are awarded as follows:Winner 10 points Highly
commended 3 points 2nd 7 points Commended 2 points 3rd 5 points 1 point per
entry unless placed.
7. Prints should NOT have Velcro or other material on the back, which may damage adjacent prints.
